The Secret to Act Booking
Anyone can book any act, pretty much. I may have let the cat out of the bag there. Oops! Until you move into the realm of massive acts touring arenas the world over, you could probably book any act yourself if you had the right phone number and contacts. That’s the truth of it. It didn’t used to be like that, but it is now.
The bottom line on booking the likes of bands, international DJs and celebrity appearances is that, more often than not, a client IS actually better off using a Booking Agent to do it for them. We’ve been on both sides of this and we’ve spent time wondering ‘Do I need a Booking Agent? Why don’t I just try find their number and call them myself?’ and we can honestly say that, in most cases, the client is better off using an Agent.
How We Do Act Booking
We, as Booking Agents, take the drama and the hassle out of it for you, the client. Believe me when I tell you there can be plenty of drama and back and forth with managers and all sorts.
What we’ll do when you contact us is we’ll get all the important information off you. We know what THEY’LL want to know and we’ll get them on a phone quicker than you will, usually. They’ll know us. They’ll know we’re not messers or time wasters. There are LOADS of those around, trust me.
We’ll be straight with you about costs. You’ll always know what money we’re making in the deal. We don’t get into loading prices and then adding our booking fee on top.
When we’re booking acts for OUR gigs we don’t like feeling like we’re being overcharged or messed around. When we’re acting as a Booking Agent we want YOU feeling like you’re getting a good deal and a good service.
