We're Finalists In Two Categories At The Social Media Awards 2014

The finalists for the Social Media Awards 2014 were announced today and we're delighted to see that we made it from nominations through the Quarter Finals and the Semi Finals all the way to the finals.

We're a finalist in two categories:

  • Best Business / Org Twittter Campaign
  • Best Blog Of An SME

Martin in here says I've a problem in that I can't stay off Twitter. Who knows? Maybe my addiction will pay off yet!

#CuckooClaus

You may well have heard about our #CuckooClaus activity back in Dec 13 and Jan 14.

We sent Santa Claus around Dublin city to various agencies and businesses etc. spreading Christmas cheer and some lovely old school sweets and seclection boxes.

The activity went really well and, as well as putting a lot of smiles on a lot of faces opened doors for us too, introduing Cuckoo Events to potential clients. You can read more about it here on the blog

Best blog of an SME

We really enjoy our blogging here in Cuckoo HQ. We like to feel like what we write benefits people in some way or another.

At the very least it benefits us to write our thoughts down sometimes. We find it very therapeutic

We like to think that the blog includes a healthy mix of opinion stuff, hints and tips, free resources, commentary etc.

We get good feedback on it and that helps make it all worthwhile. Oh and SEO. It helps for SEO too.

We've spent a little time looking up our competition and we're impressed. We particularly enjoyed the Brave Media Blog and the Bright Spark Consulting site too. It's great to see people producing great content.

#Sockies14

We like the Sockies (#Sockies14) as it's judged by ordinary people, just like the Web Awards at which we won last year

You can check out all the Finalists here

Good luck to all those who have made the final and, indeed, those nominated, the Quarter Finalists and the Semi Finalists.

Lastly a big thanks to the sponsors.
